| Mrs. Eloise B. Dorsey, age 82 of Barnesville passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 in an Upson County Health Care Facility. Mrs. Dorsey was born to the late Mr. Thomas Blalock and to the late Mrs. Ida Blalock. She was amused that she was born on 12-12-30 at 12:30 AM. Mrs. Dorsey was retired from Southern Bell. Mrs. Eloise and her late Husband, Hugh “Buck” Dorsey, Jr. were the Co-founders of Barnesville Buggy Days. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville, and very active in the American Legion Auxiliary and other Veterans organizations.
Survivors include her 3 Children - Linda (& James) Anderson of Barnesville ; Butch Dorsey of Barnesville ; & Susan (& Bob) Sims of Hampton ; 3 Grandchildren - Amy Anderson ; Jonathan Dorsey ; & Jason Sims ; a Sister - Ethel Garrison ; a Brother - Leon (& Mary Jane) Blalock ; a Sister -in-law - Carolyn Watkins ; Numerous Nieces and Nephews also Survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Eloise B. Dorsey will be conducted at 2 O’ Clock on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The Family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 12pm until the service hour. In Lieu of Flowers the Family request that donations be made to your favorite Veterans Organizations.
